Partnering with CAS is Simple!

The SBA 8(a) CONTRACT PROCESS
  1. Contact CAS to discuss project details such as price estimates, time frame, and technical requirements.
  2. Contact your Contracting Officer (CO) or Agency Small Business Specialist, for assistance developing the draft requirements description, estimated period of performance, applicable NAICS code, anticipated dollar value, etc. ( CAS can help you prepare the package).
  3. Your CO will send an Offering Letter to the SBA requesting permission to conduct sole source negotiations with CAS. Please email the 8(a) Offering Letter to SBA DC
  4. SBA will confirm eligibility of CAS and authorize negotiations.
  5. Negotiations between CAS and your CO can now begin.
  6. Following completion of negotiations, have your CO prepare a contract award document and send to CAS for signature.
  7. Once the signed contract from CAS has been received, your CO can sign the contract and send it to SBA.
  8. Once all steps above have been completed, contract performance can now begin.
